Stupidest ride of the year
Park at the Soccerplex in Germantown, go ride Gambrill and the Shed.
Stupidest ride of the year. 85 miles of sheer stupidity.
But I mean, what if you’d drive to the Shed and find out that the parking lot is full? I mean, why take chances?
I had done that ride 3 times in the past. But… in the summer.
Yesterday, though, was the shortest day of the year (yes, the 22nd, not the 21st, I read it on Capital Weather Gang). Just 9h26 of daylight. So we took off at sunrise and came back right at sunset for a total of 9:34 (the extra 8 minutes were spent taking pictures of the sunset).
Did I mention that winds yesterday were over 20mph?
