Night Snow Ride on the MBT

All day today, I watched from my windows trucks, cars and buses turn and drive the wrong way on FL Ave NE eastbound (but they were driving on the westbound side, against traffic!) because apparently they didn’t want to drive up NY Ave NE northbound.
[Look, this stuff is hard to understand until you’ve been to Dave Thomas Circle, I get it…]
Tonight, trying to go to a night ride with my Urban Assaules friends in Silver Spring, I understood why: NY Ave had not been plowed all day, neither had the BW Pkwy inside the Beltway.
So, worried that the driving would get even worse when coming back, I just turned around and went to ride the Metropolitan Branch Trail instead, which is right next by my place.
And to my great surprise, the MBT was plowed. At least a large portion of it from R St to the Brookland Metro Station.
They plowed a pedestrian/bike trail but didn’t plow a major highway.
Not sure whether that’s a good or bad thing…
Next to where I live in NoMa, though, the snow was still there, which made for some cool bike/snow/mural/trail photos.
